On October 2nd American MD Program students were actively participated in a breast cancer awareness event which was conducted by Europa Donna Georgia at Freedom Square. During the event the members of Tbilisi City Assembly, the organization Europa Donna Georgia, National Screening Centre, American MD Program students and public and private sector representatives formed a live chain around the Freedom Square to express solidarity with patients and raise awareness among the public. Pink October is the breast cancer awareness month campaign, with actions to inform about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. The campaign was created in 1985 and runs from October 1 to October 30 each year.
