Goals

Goals for American MD Program are to:

  • Prepare outstanding clinicians and researchers who are lifelong learners, provide the highest quality compassionate care and serve the needs of their community and the world in the best traditions of our profession
  • Train internationally competitive and competent, highly qualified physicians (Medical Doctors) who are ready for postgraduate education and the specific training courses in Georgia and abroad (particularly in the U.S.)
  • Provide most modern, internationally recognized standard, scientific knowledge and technological advancements of medical education
  • Conduct innovative and collaborative research and integrate this knowledge into the practice of medicine
  • Motivate    future    physicians    for    continuous    medical    education    and professional development
  • Provide the future medical leaders of the country.

Students of the American MD Program

  • Have access to the most advanced western educational model
  • Are taught by the leading professionals in the field
  • Have access to leading medical and education specialists from Georgia and USA
  • Have ability to participate in clinical trainings at Emory University School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA, USA) and other US institutions
  • Receive the knowledge and skills to pass USMLE steps before graduation from the university
  • Have ability to pass USMLE(United States Medical Licensing Examination) during the educational process
  • Have access to individual advising and mentoring in academic as well as social issues
  • Are involved in clinical trainings from the beginning of the program
  • Work with standardized patients
  • Are able to enroll in US Medical Residency programs
