Small Group Advisors

Each student enrolled in the US MD Program have a Small Group Advisor. Each small group advisor is a TSMU faculty member or invited instructor who has an MD degree.  They are involved in the process of teaching Becoming a Doctor course. The small group advisor will mentor each student belonging to a small group - usually 10-13 students. One purpose of having small group advisors is to provide individualized academic guidance to each student and to monitor their academic performance. Another purpose of having small group advisors is to guide the students’ professional development in becoming a doctor.  Having a small group advisor system is a privilege for our students with the goal of helping them to succeed.
